Inner coves are frozen over solid now

Odd how the State Park beach side is so open it just doesn't freeze

The last weekend in January - brutally cold but beautiful as always. All the coves are iced over now and some are strong enough for shacks and vehicles

There is still plenty of winter to come - but today had that early spring feel to it - a genuine January thaw.
